If you're subscribed to Renee's journal (not that she ever uses it) you may already know this, but I was away for the weekend, at her Bat Mitzvah. And I also have exams soon, so I'm busy trying to study (I'm trying *really* hard, it's just not happeningwinkeye ). I don't think I'll be posting much in the next week or so then, particularly because I have this weekend to catch up on first, and then upkeep takes a lot around here, but I'll try to come in and read some every day. So post lots of nice stuff for me to read. I'll be reading it, just not posting anything (takes 3 times as long if I do).
In other news, Happy Birthday Renee! (she's finally a teenager-watch out! those horomones will start kicking in soonwinkeye ) cake all around. Anyone need a spork ? They're freshly polished.smiley
And more news-I'm writing a speech for English highlighting the positive aspects of a herd mentality. Maybe I'll post it here when I'm done.

Have a nice week.

Jen

No clovers happening but being a black cat yourself you should give automatic luck supposedly.

You're going to do great Jen.

Do you all know that the world population now is 10% of the entire human population in the history of mankind? Now isn't that interesting? BUT! how did they figure that out? I mean they didn't have censuses....censi? million years ago so they don't know how many people there have been!

Thanks Shea. I appreciate it.

And no, I did not have to get a new outfit. But Renee had to buy 3! And she *hates* shopping. <evillaugh> I generally dress up for church every week, so I have enough dresses/skirts to choose from so as to not need to buy anything new. And while I don't hate shopping quite as much as Renee, I still don't really like it, because they never have the stuff I like in my size.

Interestingly...or not... i did RE GCSE last year and had to do A TON of judaism...can i remember any of this now? No! wah I can't remember anything....oh oh! dont you get loads of presents? what did you give *yes is being shallow*

I'm an 8 too, but it's still hard to find stuff that fits properly, and "medium" is a size shared by a good deal of the population, so stores are often out. And I need ankle lenght pants if I'm not going to cuff the bottoms-but petit lenght it too short!

8 is a medium???? MY GOD!!!!

8 is a small here! You should come shopping here (that sounds really weird seeing as we're always saying we want to go to the US for shopping). How tall are you?

8 is a *small* over there? yikes i wear size 8 as well (well, depending on where it's from. the problem is that a third of our stuff is from the uk, a third from the us, and a third from other places with no standardised sizing), and it's generally *hell* to get stuff this size over here for the same reason that jen finds it hard to get stuff that size... erm too many bloody people wearing size 8.

yep, 8 is smaill here too. it goes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 etc. 16 and above are considered to be "plus sizes"
i find it hard to get trousers coz the current fashion in that they drag along the floor, and although i am a size 8, i'm 5'10", and trousers are never long enough sadface

I just took a small sort of survey round my boarding house and the majority seem to be size 10-12.

Im 5'5" which....is just that bit too short for my liking.

Have you tried erm.....well shops that have special "tall" sections? we've got lots round where i live (seem to be lots of tall people).
Erm...topshop...etc?

Well, could you just wear shorts and skirts and stuff that's not pants? That might work.

I'm not quite 5'5", but to Renee (shrimp! although she's still got a few years left to grow) that's tall. I would just like to point out to her that next to James, I look shrimpy. (our cousin, who's almost 5'10". And almost the tallest one (one uncle taller but not by much) in the family. No one else is over 5'8".)

Some companies say 6-8 is small, some say 8-10 is medium, 10-12 is generally large. But all I know is that wherever I buy clothes from, the only difference between med and large is in the shoulder width. And my mom always tries to buy me large shirts, which just look stupid and too big. (kinda like my clothes on Reneewinkeye )

i would have to point out that in the unlikely event that we should ever *meet* in real-life, hannah would tower over the both of us yikes . (like you, i'm 5'5" - of course, this means that i'm taller than most of my female friends, and about as tall as a number of my male friends, so i'm not *too* unhappy smiley my evil twin brother's my height)

happysugs-i live near cheddar. theres quite a good shop in btol that sells long trousers and takes them up for free (not that i need that), but at £30 a pair i'm limited to how often i can buy them. i tend to just customise old pairs.
whoever said can i wear skirts and stuff-have you ever experienced british weather?! i do in the summer, but for the remaining 50 weeks of the year it has to be trousers i'm afraid.

What is with this??? I mean all the people round me tower above! Is bedford a place of really tall people or something? How can 5'5" be tallish???

I can see the problem with weather.....these foreigners *snorts* don't have a clue! wrap yourself in a sleeping bag and hop around instead of having to buy expensive clothes smiley
