I do have one point to raise - regarding the idea that there was no place for style in the 40's? My gran assures me that rationing, the blitz, working in the land army and living in 'bomb-alley' never stopped her and her sisters from popping up to London to buy shoes. Otherwise, I love the entry, despite being a barefooted beastie footprints

Oh there was style alright .... just not much room for fashion - the shoes didn't get glammed up much until after the war.

I too like to go barefoot, but twice this month it has caused a great deal of pain.wah

I cut a hole in my left foot by standing on a small sharp thingie and then I dropped a 5 can pack of tuna on my right foot ..... perhaps writing this entry has placed some sort of curse on my feet.erm footprints

I think there was still comparitively more style in London than in Barming though, although shoes wouldn't have been so glitzy... Yeah, I got a splinter of glass in my foot this summer, but the soles of my feet are so elephant-hide ish that I didn't notice for two days. By that point it'd healed over... erm It has it's dangers, but it's so much more comfy than shoes. It's getting a bit chill for barefoot shenanigins, though... footprints

You're probably right.ok

I believe there are clubs - like naturist only for bare feet - and they do stuff barefooted.weird

My feet aren't my best asset so I don't feel the need to share them - even with like minded people. laugh
