  |  | We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. You could also argue that as emotions are the hardest things to get across online, those are the *most* important smlieys (they are called emoticons after all). It's easy to write 'cake' and get away with it, but expressing emotion is far harder.
BTW, groan and doh aren't on the ideas list. Duh is quite different to Doh... the first is aimed at someone else, and the second is normally aimed at the speaker.

Can i ask if there is a particular problem with a smiley?
It's a genuine question as there have been multiple requests for some months within various threads and the Beeb -give it it's due - does try to listen.
