Probably a silly question but now that I have sorted out something to write about, I cannot put it all down in one go.
Do I write it in 'word' and paste it in or can I save the draft in some way in the 'submit an entry' box?
Can't find the answer anywhere so I thought here would be the best place to ask.

Hi sceptic. Don't worry, it's not a silly question. If you click 'Add Guide Entry' and then thereafter hit 'Update an Entry' you can save as you go along. Just keep the 'Not for Review' box ticked until you think it's in a state where you wouldn't mind someone picking it up for inclusion in the Edited Guide.

Hope that helps.
Cheers
