The Trilogy I refer to is surely worth a mention, well written and very enjoyable.

It poses a rather more interesting view that in Post Roman Britten, Romano British Culture prevailed up to and beyond the Saxon incursions.

The role of High King unlikely, rather more realistic that of Duke of Britain.

Lawhead is well researched as you will find on reading it, though I found the association with Lionesse/Atlantis a little awkward. But as part of the trilogy it was spellbinding stuff.

The Golden Bough, The Fisher King, what of these references?????

One thing I found annoying about this series was a couple of times he has people eating potatos. Only about 1000 years too early steam .
