There were also some very interesting conversations on the site. A large part of this has now, it appears, gone forever leaving those of us who were members of what was a very congenial (because it was very small, probably), if short-lived, community with just a few happy memories. The BBC has a long history of casually deleting things that later become regarded as important or interesting, despite their self-image of preserving historical documents - h2g2 beware!!
