Rather a poor one, but certainly not something I actually meant. Tongue was firmly in cheek. I realised later that you might think I was annoyed with you. Z had described a radio programme as heteoronormative on Thursday morning, and I'd been itching to use the word ever since. It's even better to have the correct abstract noun. Now all I need is a conversation to use it in. Heteronormative is a great word. I use it occasionally when people crack "gay" jokes, or assume that someone's significant other is of the opposite sex.
