Fort Ticonderoga is actually in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, several hundred miles from New Jersey. It's now a major tourist attraction, where the battle is restaged on a daily basis through the summer season, as recounted in the c. 1987 Chefs of the Future single, "Red Soldier."
