well i just got into a new relationship, and at times i get the strong feeling that my girlfriend is very uncomfortable around me, but at other times we look into each others eyes and she smiles and it makes everything seem so happy and relaxed but a lot of times, she shows the sure sign of defensiveness by having arms folded and not close to me... how can i go about reading her bi-polar body language?

Probably she's just sometimes more stressed than others. Notice what it is you're saying when she's folding her arms, and see if there's anything you said that she might disagree with. She might just be crossing her arms to keep warm,or maybe it's when you're discussing something that seems like "business".
