Photography is written twice, otherwise couldn't see much on first read-through.

  | | I've had a look at your version, Matt. Without having a re-read to compare with the Sailor's version, I find it well constructed. It's amazing how long it is - how much there is to say about the subject!
Do you mind if I nitpick?
One word sort of doesn't fit IMHO:
<<So, if a site offers a specific route or method of visiting, it is usually in your best intersts to abide by it. If a carpeted or other path is provided, you should respect the site by not straying from it. You should convey this message to those attending with you, including children. This will make the visit more enjoyable for everyone, including yourself.>>
I don't think forcing kids to keep to the rules is *more enjoyable* for anyone, knowing what kids can be like - and some adults, too, but taking the recommended precautions will certainly make the visit *less nerve-wracking*.
<<Things to Do ...... The foloowing Researchers give some sage advice for having a good time;>> tiny weeny typo: following not foloowing.
And there's an apostrophe too many in Professor's <pedant>

  |  | Good job Matt;
I am glad you have added your own experiences .
I am confused by one of your opening lines,
>Other sites are operated by government agencies such as local councils, private organizations, and individuals like volunteers or even aristocracy.<
I am not sure what "individuals like volunteers" means. Volunteers may present a site, but they do not manage it. What I was referring to is a case where a private individual happens to own a site and offers tours without any formal organization. The Lizzy Borden house http://lizzie-borden.com/ comes to mind, but there are many others like birth place homes of famous people. I am not sure that there is that great a distinction between an individual and an aristocrat, but I am a Yank and not so familiar with your system. I might suggest;
Other sites are operated by government agencies such as local councils, private organizations, and individuals, some of them members of the aristocracy.
