What is the difference between Tracker progams and the current Sequencers such as Cakewalk Pro Audio. Am I correct in thinking that the Amiga Trackers constructed music from something akin to WAV files whereas Sequencers primarily use MIDI samples. If this is so then Trackers live on in such programs as Cool Edit Pro and Acid with which you can arrange multiple tracks of instrument samples. Furthermore, Cakewalk allows you to combine both MIDI data and WAV samples into an arrangement. Am I totally off track here?
