  | | Thanks Aurora. I thought it was true, but I just wanted some confirmation. The entry is now more certain.
Algernon - good point, though home computers appeared by the end of the 70s, surely? I've changed the wording a bit.
2legs - HHGTTG game has been added. Follow the link and you can play it. I hope you don't mind if I don't add your other comments, though.
Ekaterin - I'm not sure about doing a huge number of links. A few more would be okay, but I'm not that sure about the ones you linked to. Rinkworks seems to be there own rather than any classics, and the other doesn't have many adventures.
Gnomon - Infocom's been added.

  | | There was another early text based adventure game called IIRC Queen of Sheba. This involved resourse management - it was an early God game I suppose.
Then there was StarTrek - his used to throw up a 10x10 grid which showed the Enterprise and any enemies. Basically you shot up Klingons, tried to avoid Romulans, and called at bases for Spares and repairs.
There was also an early PC game called Rogue - where you went looking for an amulet, picking up potions swords and wands, whilst fighting monsters.
