This is a reply to this Posting   Posting 3 Well, my first thought is that the fellow who wrote the article looks remarkable jolly in his bio photo for such dire news. I continued reading anyway (well, skimming really) until I got to the first sentence following the 'Take Action Now' header. After that I couldn't read for laughing. Honestly, go read that sentence, and then decide whether he is a 'fit and proper' source for news, information and comment. But two things strike me as strange: 1. If this thing blows, the whole of the United States will be wiped out. What about other places, such as... Japan? The US isn't the largest country in the world, and nor is it the closest to the problem. 2. Getting the UN to put someone working on the problem. What ever gave the writer the impression that the Japanese were not already working on the problem, and that they aren't the best people to solve such a problem?
