Recently a German airship company ( http://www.cargolifter.com/ ) floated on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. They are looking to build HUGE cargo ships. Also, Zeppelin ( http://www.zeppelin-nt.com/ ) are still around, looking to build passenger craft. The cargo idea looks like a good one to me, and if it works it will hopefully create the will for the passenger version, which I would go on like a shot!

Check out Ohio Airships, [Broken link removed by Moderator]. Appears to be cargo lifter, but with a fixed wing intended to provide substantial lift. Anyone know anymore about this outfit?

There's been a fair bit of activity on the airship front this year; I'm currently working on an updated Entry, so watch this space!
