d'E, there may be something to your theory. I refer to imdb quite often, and I've never even noticed that you can vote on films. blush

I enjoyed your entry, Loony. smiley

Thanks WM.

Cafram, the world champion didn't fall. According to the BBC wedsite, she put her "failure" down to nervous tension.

Oh dagnammit the wood man is here! This means that there are 10 square metres of wood to be carted to the back shed using a wheelbarrow with a flat tire within the next week....argh!!

Burn it where it is? I'll suggest it to my mum...I think she'd rather have the garage standing though erm

Gas smells...although I do sometimes wonder whether a fire is worth the effort (usually when I trudging through the garden in the rain looking for sticks to start it with...)

Modern gas appliances don't leak and therefore don't smell.

cafram, I don't get to see new releases any more, but I read the book a couple of years ago and recommend it highly. Much more coherent than the movie, not chauvinistic at all, but gripping to read. Author is Mark Bowden.

Regarding wood, I've heard it said that wood heats you twice: once when you stack it and once when you burn it.

laugh so true! My mum always gets it delivered in the middle of summer - it's near 30ºC today erm

I didn't realise that the movie was based on a book...I'll keep an eye out for it!

How's the cold?

My cold is just fine, but I'm rather poorly. silly I intended to go to class, just hand in my homework and find out what the next assignment is, but wound up staying for the group critique. Catwood Vinnie was the favourite. smiley

And then I headed up to the shops and bought drugs, kleenex and a Sara Lee french cheesecake.

Morning all, apart from the Marines mistaking Spain for Gibraltar (the local police found it hilarious, understandably), Spring has arrived 3 weeks early according to my paper.

There are loads of flowers out in my garden and the ornamental cherries on the green are blossoming. Unfortunately we are due colder weather over the weekend, so it look as though they will be nipped in the bud.

I am crossing fingers that it will warm up a little in time for our 3 days in Paris.

How's the cold today, Lil?

Well Gibraltar is kind of small and easy to miss. Any old shoes, hope the cold is improving Lil and that those England Fans aren't too bad Looney.
Oh and I have to complain about the links to palm software that went up last week. I ended up playing an Elite clone on my Palm for most of last night! grr winkeye

(Passes on the champers. Gutted to here the Russia didn't make it to the semi in Ice Hockey for another US Russia face-off.) For once the "weater" is actually drier here.

*breaking news*
Have you heard they have discovered the Fountain of Youth (drug).
They can already rejuvinate old rats.

What will you be doing on your 150th birthday?
