Read the First Reply to this Posting Subject: RIP Leo Abse Posted Aug 22, 2008 by Mikeo the gregarious This is a reply to this Posting   Posting 5 Yeah ... actually, that decriminalisation reform wasn't UK-wide - it didn't happen in Scotland until 1980 (the year before I was born) and in Northern Ireland until 1982 (when I was actually alive!). Even for England and Wales (when it did happen in 1967) it happened ten years after the Wolfenden Report, where that reform was suggested - which makes Leo Abse even more of a hero for actually getting that reform through Parliament.
