Oh and when I say 'sexual' I don't just mean that in some simple way..dreams always have layers of meanings..see already I feel uncomfortable about saying that.

laugh Back at university, Elektra and I wrote a parody piece on 'Finnegans Wake' for an English class. When we presented it, everybody said, 'Now let's analyse the sexual symbolism.' (This was a joke at the expense of our instructor: she was big on 'sexual symbolism'.)

I protested, 'We didn't put any in.'

They all laughed. 'That's what YOU think.' winkeye

A bit like in Catch-22 where Yossarian steals another patient's dream and takes it to the psychiatrist. He describes a dream about a fish swimming.

'What else does it do?'

'Nothing. It just swims.'

'Hmm. You realise that this is basically a sex dream?'

'I see.'

'Haven't you had any dreams about [psychiatrist gives an explicit account of a perverted dream]?'

'You mean a fish dream?'

Thepenismightierthanthesword..

Reminds me that my own bit of acting was The Professor in Ionesco's "The Lesson" where the Prof ended up getting ready to "give it" to his pupil with a knife-- only the maid rushes in.. Poor maid.. At dress rehearsal she ended up with a nose-bleed.
