  | | Hmm, fair enough
I'm most definitely a ... in fact I'm proud to be able to say that I'm posting this from within a text-only terminal, as I've just bought a new hard disk and starting installing gentoo...
(you've got to love an operating system where you can still post on h2g2 while it's busy compiling itself...)
Hmm. I don't have any posters like that either, but I do have a t-shirt which says 'happy hacking', and another which says 'free software, free society'... heh... I still claim not to be a Linux zealot though. Hmm.
I've completely lost any further point I had, so, I'll leave it at that

  | | Hmm. You don't *have* to be a geek to use Linux. My family do whenever they print stuff out or scan stuff in... or use the internet...
Alright, so I set up a Linux computer for all that stuff and they really don't have a choice, but...

  | | Yus, it's not something I'd recommend unless you savour the thought of putting hours and hours into messing with your computer for the sake of it. Me, I love it
Anyway, I thought this conversation was supposed to be about non-Linux things... hmm.
Ooh, I know, a Caius thing ... I'm actually the GCSU Computer Officer, believe it or not... and I'm designing a calendar thingy to go on the web page. The idea is that people who run societies and so on will be able to log in and add/edit events, and so hopefully it will stay up to date...
I'd be interested to know if you think that's likely to be at all useful
Hmm. Alright, so that's still fairly y. But at least it's Caius y

  | | very true...
Currently it's not easy to use as such, since it doesn't actually work yet. At least not completely. But it will work, and it will be easy to use...
At least, that's the plan ... the fact that I'm currently in the midst of upgrading my PC isn't going to help too much, though...
