I imagine that wet leaves on uneven, muddy surfaces can make for quite interesting, and often painful, cycling. It's not just wet leaves - the forestry vehicles leave big trenches in the mud, and hitting one basically means half an hour of cleaning crud out of the bike's working parts once I get home.
