Yup, I have a NTN in Geriatrics (we are taking over the planet, *laughs Manically*) currently out of programme doing a PhD in small vessel disease. So I'm the lone Geriatrician in neuroradiology/neurology research group.

This does not do my ego good.

I'm led to understand that research is mandatory, albeit mostly in the form of case presentations and audit.

Do you mean never save h2g2 from certain doom? I can understand how that might distract from research, but still... erm

Ooh no, I'm glad I did it!

It was the cause of at least two stand up rows with my boss over my 'distracting hobbies' which was only resolved by an agreement to give up locum work at the weekend.

It's just well, lets say a large part of it was done on my work computer at work... and if I hadn't had a job where I could do some h2g2 stuff during the day and then catch up on work in the evening it would be
