I haven't been around that much to speak to, although the occasional reply to my articles keeps me interested! As my journal should reveal, it seems that most of the people I used to "hang around" with (with the exceptions of people who're actually paid to be there, like yourselves [... ]) have disappeared. While I'm happy that they've found other things to do, it does make h2g2 seem less like the frontier community it was, and more like a much bigger and less personal one. Cities are not really my thing, and most of the discussion I've seen going on is less interesting than those I remember. It is really good to hear from you though!
Otherwise, things are going well at this moment - although that can (as life has revealed and continues to do all the time) change. I'm involved in a couple of other websites, I'm being paid to do something useful (although it's definitely not that much fun... ) and I'm spending the time on night shifts reading a lot. On day shifts I'm riding for an hour each way to do a twelve-hour shift, and my professional life has become so rigorously organised I would have died of shock if you'd told me I'd be like this a year from now a year ago. If I had more time, I'd love to be editing again, but that doesn't seem to be a realistic prospect at present. I have a feeling I might even finish writing a book before that happens...
What's been going on with you guys? How's Anna's little one? Where did Mark get to? What have you been up to yourself?
