It did indeed make me smile, Vicki. And pheloxi IS a force for peace in the world. (Sometimes rather a forceful force, it must be said! winkeye )

We can, all of us, only play the cards we are dealt, and a smile goes farther than we ever know.

Unfortunately, I cannot smile at the moment.

My father is in hospital dying of cancer.....it really only just hit me today that I will never be able to talk to him.......

Oh, honey, I am so sorry. The world changes when your father is that ill.

I remember when they told me my father had cancer. I curled up in a ball on the floor of the bathroom and howled like a dog. I do feel for you.

The thing I am finding hard at the moment (8 years on) is that my main squeeze cannot meet him. They would have got on so very well.

This may seem an odd thing to say, but good luck.

Here is a completely useless loobrush. cheerup

I read them both over the weekend, as I trawled though the back-waters of the Alternative Writing Workshop. I was very moved by the way you wrote about your situation, and very angered by the way that people treat other people.

It may still seem odd, but I wish you good luck.

Ben
