Just been to see 'The Ring' at the cinema, and still shaking heh. No, but seriously, it is the scariest movie I have seen in the last 10 years . It is the american remake of the original japanese movie 'Ringou'.I haven't seen the japanese one myself, but I have been told that it is scarier(Don't want to know). I found the remake to be very good in terms of imagery, the actual plot, sound etc... As I can't really compare it to the original, i have to give it a 4/5. I do strongly suggest though that you do not see this movie on video as it will scare the hell out of you. However, if you are seeing it at the cinema, make sure you take your boyfriend with you, or anyone who allows you to cuddle up to them.
This film is not for the weak-hearted!

Now back to my work!

I saw this movie by myself, and maybe it is because I am "hardened" (I lived in a boarding house for sometime; nothing can scare me that easily) but I was not as overwhelmed as I had anticipated. But still, a very very good movie, I agree with you there. I just loved the "photography" element. Awesome pictures and all that. Plus, did you notice how the RING showed up for fractions of seconds between some scenes?

Y.

Hi Yelbakk

sorry couldn't get back to your message earlier, just saw it today actually as I hadn't thought anyone had answered to my message about the film.

Yeah I did notice the fractions of seconds with the ring symbol and I thought that was quite cleverly done. The other thing that was good but I don't know whether you noticed is at the beginning of the film when the main female character of the film was in her flat looking towards the other apartments from her balcony and one of the flats that had their tv switched on was showing something in japanese. I think they did that because they wanted to remind people of the original japanese film 'the ring'.

By the way I read your personal space and you say you are studying in Berlin. I was in Germany during my year abroad as part of my studies and I found it very interesting. I study German as well alongside with French at university in England.
