  | | I just found out that Terri / zendevil has suddenly passed away.
I remember meeting her virtually quite early in my hootoo days, just after visiting the Birmingham meet I think. At that time she was still living in Angouleme
While we only had occasional contact, I felt it was always quite intense. She seemed always a very spirited and open person. The feeling was confirmed when I finally met her in the flesh, a few months ago during the German Meet in Mannheim. For the first and only time.
Do not shake me, I am full of tears.
Rest in peace Terri

  | | [tried posting this on the EYE thread, before realising it's closed, so I shall put it here instead: ]
Much, much belated... I heard the awful news about Terri from her partner, but hasn't been on h2g2 since, so this is my first chance to pay my respects here:
Terri's threads were pretty much the first place on h2g2 where I wasn't just being silly and crazy - where there was serious conversation (albeit with the occasional bits of silliness and craziness, I am not dissing those!) and people were talking about their life as their RL selves, rather than playing make-believe. And while a lot of the important things that happened to me on this site came from that make-believe, it all eventually comes back to this: the idea that this place can be a _real_ place, in a way, where you can be yourself. And it was all thanks to Terri. She will be missed, indeed.
I apologise for bumping this thread out of its slumber, and probably awaking some sad memories in people who are subscribed to it, but I needed to say that.
