*A large wolf prowls under the bridge, examining it for some nefarious purpose. It emerges, seemingly satisfied. As it leaves the scene, it pauses to lift its leg on the nearby pyramid. In a wink it is gone.*

*a stray moonbeam briefly reveals a Red Dog hidden in the shadows near the bridge*

8A drunken refuse on the corner sits, smelling of methalated spirits. ok, so as a disguise, its too recognisably me, but...*

*The wolf returns and glances up at the Big Ben clock, which stands across the river on a large sand dune. The clock shows that it is a few minutes before midnight. The wolf looks around, as if expecting someone...*

*A dark image is visible in the distance, approaching*

*withdraws deeper into shadows*

pssst .... is that you Happydude ?

*The wolf changes to human form. BBW now stands, waiting for something. A fog begins to rise off the river and shrouds the nearby street lamp.

BBW pats one of his pockets for reassurance and inadvertently hits the alarm button on his keychain. From just behind the sphynx, a car horn starts blaring in a stacatto rhythm. BBW fumbles hurriedly in his pocket, eventually dragging out his keys, which he promptly drops, then kicks. They skitter across the sidewalk and stop, perched on the edge of the river embankment. He carefully walks over to them, ignoring the insistent car horn, bends down and very deliberately picks up the keys. He pushes the appropriate button and silences the car horn.

He walks back to his place and gives a ish grin to a neaby shadow and a wino.*

*a snicker can be heard from yet another dark shadow. realizing she has been heard, sea steps out of the shadows*

here i am, BBW. let arl go!

*quietly whispers something into a lapel mike*

*burps again. this time in morse. have you any idea how hard that is to do? they dont call me super for nowt, you know*

Happy would be proud of you.


*BBW jumps when sea speaks and he clenches his fist around his keychain, which sets off the alarm again. (Beep beep beep beep). He scowls and hits the "silence" button, then pockets the keys.*

sea!

*BBW looks around, incredulously.*

You're alone?

*sea shrugs*

couldn't manage to get anyone to come with me. nobody loves me... oh well.

*sea smiles dazzlingly at BBW*

i'm sure we can come to some sort of... agreement, can't we? we're all supervillains, well, some of us anyway... whatever. we can work SOMETHING out... you know, you give me arl and i'll... um... i'll scratch your back for you.

*from the shadows watches his S*T*A*T*s BigFatFib-o-meter (fitted with ACF nose-o-matic technology TM) give a slight kick on the readout*
