'Tennyson's Gift'

I feel it's worth mentioning the novel by Lynne Truss, Tennyson's Gift, which includes the greatest fictional portrayal of Dodgson that I've ever seen. The book takes place on the Isle of Wight in 1864, I think, and involves various other historical characters (including, as the title might suggest, Alfred Tennyson). Dodgson comes across as endearing, yet vaguely pathetic.
