Happy Morning Radio Disc Jockeys (DJs)

Radio DJs are the wrong way round. First thing in the morning most respectable people are dragging themselves out of bed and struggling into the shower, but breakfast-show DJs loudly insist that mornings are there to be broken and that it's fun, fun, fun to get up and see the dawn of a new day. Frankly, it isn't.

And last thing at night, when you're driving home sober from that dinner party and need the radio equivalent of a caffeine injection to stop you veering off the motorway and into the oncoming truck, what do you get? A silken-tongued old-timer who insists on playing Bill Withers while droning on in a voice as soft as duvet filling and hot chocolate.

It's enough to make you want to work nights.
