Life's Too Short

Isn't It?

My word. So much to get to grips with here. They've given me a little space I can call my own and here I am desperately trying to fill it, hoping to come up with something that will be useful and meaningful.

It's not that easy. I mean, it's a big place, this h2g2. I've only arrived here recently. I'm absorbing things as fast as I can. And I have to keep stopping to make cups of tea, which doesn't help. But I've just recently got broadband, which makes a big difference to the way I'm engaging with the interweb these days. I can take my time now, where before I was constantly aware of how long I'd been online and fretting about using up that precious 150 hours of unmetered usage.

But a proper appreciation of the Universe shouldn't be rushed. It needs to be savoured. You can do that on broadband.

As I delve into h2g2 I'll be paying particular attention to entries about climate change. I think we're probably in for some dramatic events, and soon. I'm also fascinated by UFOs - yes, I know, old clichéd subject, but there you go - as well as archaeology, Egyptology, ancient civilizations, the origins of religious beliefs, and paranormal events. Classical music, TV and football also loom large.

It seems sometimes that life really is too short to fully appreciate its rich tapestry. So hooray for h2g2 - and broadband. Expanding our horizons. Jolly good.
