A Bit About Me

I chose the name of the village baker in the Archers (from my very much younger days) as my nickname, as when I signed up I was very much into home baking, especially making bread.

I live in the Midlands of England, listen to the Archers on Radio 4, and comedy on BBC7.

I also read a lot, usually whilst waiting for, and travelling on trains.

I suppose that the BBC7 bit above should have been edited some time ago to be Radio 7, and now it's Radio 4 extra! I do wish that they (whoever they are!) would leave things alone. There is a risk that the baby will be thrown out with the bath water :).

This will be amended and added to as and when I can be bothered. ;-)

I've been absent for quite a while, so as the very nice people in support have sorted out my account here is a (small) update.
Futher up I said that I listened to the Archers. That is no longer quite as true as it was as since VW has turned the program into a cross between Eastenders and Payton Place, starting with the most unlikely (but thoroughly telegraphed) demise of Nigel Pargetter I have found better things to do with that hour and a quarter each week. I keep up to date via the synopsis and occasional podcast, but I can no longer be called a "fan" of the program.
