Welcome to my humble abode. Please come inside and have a look around, just watch out for the low ceiling 
A little insight, then: Zoologist by education and artist by design, I find myself drawn to all things fantastical. The downside of which is a tendency to daydream, often at work --- not good if I am observed mid-glazed expression complete with dopey smile, or chuckling gently to myself 
Despite an ongoing love affair with drawing, especially Manga, I was lured from a serene future of composing epic graphic novels and seduced by the Science Side; henceforth bound in slavery to pledge my existence to the eternal (and habitually futile) quest for KNOWLEDGE. Combining the two has proved tricky; one must inevitably face relegation to the status of 'hobby'. Regrettably drawing has assumed that dreaded rank, but a girl's gotta eat.
As patrons of the Harry Potter 6 – the Spoiler thread thread may have gathered, I love the Boy Who Lived and the complete online universe devoted to debating his future. Reading is, in general, a marvellous pursuit; one in which I indulge whenever the opportunity presents itself. Oh, if you ever read a HP fanfiction or theory that you think is brilliant beyond belief, then please let me know about it --- I am always interested 
Some interesting links: the first is very apt for this time of year and relates to the role of Fly Agaric in the mythos of Santa Claus; the next involves the phenomenal works of Terry Pratchett; another relates to the marvelous Rocky Horror Show play; and the last is devoted to the novel that inspired both the Japanese and American Ring films.
Many of my friends like animals, but are completely stumped when it comes to classifying them. So for anyone reading this who thinks "Yeah, me too!" I have the perfect companion Guide entries. The first outlines Animal Classification, giving details of the different Phyla and the second details the history behind Taxonomy. I have always found this facinating, so have fun reading up on the subject.
