Greetings, carbon-based lifeforms

Hi there,

I'm a bookseller/reader/reviewer who has been a keen fan of Hitch-Hiker's since the original radio version (still have the original radio cast albums). This site looks so much like the kind of multimedia online community that Douglas Adams wanted to see more of, and indeed mentions several times in his posthumously published Salmon of Doubt (alright, a plug, I just reviewed it on an SF reviews site, The Alien Online).

As you might have already gathered, I am both and SF and a literature fan and I enjoy sharing my love of books (and other media) through discussions and reviews. Perhaps I will be able to share some of the recent books here on H2G2. But there are so many other important things to discuss in the universe. Important things like saving the world, the best places a visitor can find good beer in your home city (Edinburgh for me) and where the best curries are to be found and just who will do a good but quick towel dry cleaning service for the weary hitch-hiker. I look forward to taking part in all of this and more.
