The Darkness

Oh Dear ...

If you have reached this page then things aren't working out too well for you and you haven't got long to go. Let me explain.

There were six of us in all. I was number six and it went ....

1. War
2. Pestilence
3. Famine
4. Death
5. Thank You
6. Goodnight

I'm sure I don't need to tell you that announcing yourself as Goodnight, the coming of the Darkness has your victims howling in hysterics. Thank You was not impressed either. He quit which made me number five. I though if they were going to change the rules like that, then I could change my name too. I am the Darkness, the coming of the ... the ... well that's when it all gets a bit vague. My job description makes me sound like a Janitor. To sweep up and switch the lights out. I am the Darkness, the coming of the Janitor.

I've tried poetry but that just makes people cry.

The rotting swans lay dying in an oil filled Lake.
I squash mosquitos for my thirst to slake.
A see a sign,
it means nothing to me,
Vienna!

Maybe I should announce myself as Poet, the fifth horseman. At least people would scream a bit more.

So now you know (sigh) ... and I don't even have a smiley to sigh with. It's just perfectly dreadfull. I was a snail in my previous encarnation before time began. You should see how much mess a snail with a cold can make.
