Too many years to recall, but living hermit-like (from choice)with nature in abundance on the doorstep and over the doorstep (snails on a wet warm night)SILENCE - though the birds are making a real racket now with all their 'spring' talk, NO TV, No newspapers, just good old Radio 4 and the cat for company. So this - h2g2 - is my venture OUT INTO THE WORLD! Hope it doesn't bite. Have spent my hermit years putting my soul back together after ferocious bullying from management colleagues (aren't adults good to each other? NOT)and even the sound of my own language can send a ghost of past fear close to its new coat. Hence, I now live light years away from the sight and sound of it, but at the cost of leaving behind, home, family and good friends. Be kind to each other, it's a rat race out there and we only have one go at it. It is too short for regrets. Looking backwards is not the new forwards.
