About Myself (until I think of something actually interesting to write about!)
Sometime physicist, now High School physics teacher (but not, I hope, a high-school-physics teacher, if the distinction means anything! My long term goal is to change what we teach and how we teach it. Right now I'm working on just figuring out how to teach at all!
I have an eclectic mix of knowledge, love telling and collecting stories, and am best at finding connections between ideas and creating patterns. Perhaps this is best described by saying that anybody can sit around woolgathering. I card, spin, and dye the stuff and make tapestries ;-)
The name "Spherical Cows Incorporated" comes from an old physics joke, which I'll include here if anyone is interested!
I've just started here, and hope to replace this with something more worthwhile and interesting shortly. Suggestions are welcomed :-)
