What's in a name?

I chose my name in reference to a character of Voltaire's Candide, Pangloss¹. My nickname is not a misspelling of this name, though... it should be seen as a way to express Knows Palm².

My interests

Even if I do not think my intimate life details and interests to be very important to you, I cannot refrain to state what contributions I would like to make to this truly amazing (and addicting?) enterprise.

• I am a fanatic user of VI (the ubiquitous, the only ...), this text editor that all who know talk with bated breath about (?). I will try to put at your disposition here somewhere how to get the most out of it. You can have a glimpse of the beginnings in my entry on how to get started.
• As my nickname suggests, I will try to participate in all the forums needing the fresh input of yet another beer flavour : Palm
• The Abalone board game (entry still to write, when I get around to it)
